4/39 Retaining wall west of
Woodhey Chapel

GV II

Low retaining wall, early C18. Coursed red sandstone wall 38m long
with projecting plinth and a weathered course where the wall reduces
in thickness under the square coping course. The wall supports a
narrow ramped grassed area, against the walled garden, which leads to
the front of the loggia at the west end of the Woodhey chapel. (q.v.)
