4/41 Stable building south
east of Woodhey Chapel

GV II

Former stables with accommodation, early Cl7. Red brick with blue
brick features and tile roof. 2 storeys, 5 bays. High stone plinth
with bevelled top course. Flush stone quoins. Four-light stone
dressed mullion windows at both levels. Replaced wide-boarded door on
strap hinges in ovolo moulded stone opening with deep head and moulded
cornice above. All-over diamond pattern diaper work to the east face
only.
Interior: Ovolo moulded beams and heavy joists. Queen-post trusses
and old purlins with wind braces.
