Farmhouse, now house. C17, with some alterations of C19 and few later alterations.
Slatestone rubble. Scantle slate roof, with gable end to left and hipped end to
right. Ridge tiles. Gable end stack to left and front lateral stack to right, with
rubble shafts with shaped tops.
Plan: 2-room plan, with entrance to passage; the lower end room is to left, heated
from a gable end stack. The hall to right has a bay which projects beyond the line
of the front of the house, forming a larger room, heated from a front lateral stack;
this end appears to have been raised in height. There is a single storey unheated
service wing to the rear of the lower end room.
Exterior: 2 storeys, an asymmetrical 3-window front. The main range is to left,
with C20 plank door to right and C20 2-light casement with timber lintel to left at
ground floor. At first floor there is a C20 2-light casement with timber lintel to
left at ground floor. At first floor there is a C20 2-light 2-pane casement and late
C18 4-pane sash with timber lintel. The bay to right has late C19 4-pane sash at
ground and first floor to right. The left end has large external stack with oven at
the base. The right end is blind. At the rear there is a doorway with plank door,
probably at the rear of the passage. The single storey wing has C20 plank door and
C20 2-light casement at the inner side; blind gable end and small window opening at
the outer side. The rear of the main range is blind.
Interior: Not accessible but may retain good features of the C17, such as beams.
