TL 61 SW HIGH EASTER MOTTS GREEN

3/39 Motts Green Farmhouse

House, former farmhouse. Probably C16. Timber framed and plastered with peg
tile roofs. North end is hipped over one bay C20 extension. South end is
half-hipped. Of 2 storeys with large C20, off-centre enclosed porch on front
with exposed reused framing. Windows are C20 timber casements with leaded
lights. C20 off-centre ridgeline stack. Unjettied 3 bay timber frame with
jowled posts and curious partition bracing which interrupts the studs.
Inglenook has clay stack over a reused moulded timber mantel beam.
