Packhorse bridge, now used for foot traffic only. Medieval with later
repairs. Coursed ironstone, with dressed limestone coping to parapets.
Approximately 40 metres long. Approximately 2 metres wide to middle, splaying
to 3 metres at ends. 2 pointed arches, C14 to C15 in appearance. Central
pier forms cutwater to N elevation, rising to pedestrian refuge above.
Parapet walls slope down to ground level at each end, SE section of wall
supported by red brick buttresses, probably C18. Scheduled Ancient Monument.
