5 chest tombs. Mid - late C18th and early C19th. Ashlar. Panelled sides and
moulded cornices. (1) 1830. Mackenzie. On plinth; dentilled cornice; incised
lettering; draped urn. (2) 1803. Calman and Boon. Tall, square with inscribed
panels. (3) and (4) Late C18th/early C19th. Oval with inscribed marble panels
(illegible). (5) Early - mid C19th. Inscribed (illegible) panels and large
corner acroteria. The chest tombs represent a good collection of classical and
traditional local tomb forms and contribute to the setting of the church.
