Remains of canal basin; retaining walls. Circa 1801 for the Somerset Coal
Canal. Ashlar retaining walls approximately 3 feet high on north and west
sides and 4 feet high on south side. The north and south walls are
approximately 60 yards long. The basin and inclined plane which rose up the
hill to the west, represent the second attempt to achieve the change in level
