The left hand cottage is C17 or early C18, modified in the C19. Two storeys,
built of mixed lias and limestone rubble with freestone quoins. Pantile
roofs in 2 separate parts, the left hand one at higher pitch, end chimneys,
coped verges with saddlestone to right and footstones. Casement windows
with probably C19 wooden lintels, the right hand cottage has 2 windows
on each floor (irregular) and half glazed door to left. Bread-oven projection
to right. Left hand cottage has 2 storey gabled projection, with one
window, to right and one window to left. Glazed conservatory to left
with 2 doors into house. The cottages are built into the side of the
hill, the rear rendered, the left hand cottage with newel stair projection.
