Doomesday site. Present building probably mid-late C17 rebuilding. 'L'-shaped
house in rubble, quoins, modern pantile roofs. Two storeys. Frontage in 2
portions, stepping down from right. Two windows per floor to left hand portions,
2 and 3-light casements with moulded stone mullions and dripmoulds, relieving
arch to one ground floor window. Plain central door in moulded stone frame.
One 3-light stone mullioned casement to ground floor of right hand portion,
modern 2-light mullion window over, doorway to right of centre with stopped
ogee moulded surround. Attic gable with 2-light stone mullioned casement to
one rear elevation and to side. A 4-light mullioned window under relieving
arch in rear gable. Other windows irregular, mostly 2-light casements with
dripmoulds. Two keyed oval windows now built into modern porch lobby at rear.
All gables have flat copings and saddlestones, except for 2 which carry a pair
of ashlar stacks with moulded caps set diagonally.
Interior: large fireplace in central ground floor room with ovolo moulded cambered
lintel, same room has large beam with multiple ogee moulding.
Newel stair from south room to first floor. On the first floor 2 C17 studded
doors and one stopped ovolo moulded door surround.
