Hall house, now office storage. c1400, altered C18 and C20. Part brick, park timber
frame with brick infill and some rendered infill. Old tile gabled roof. Formerly
rectangular plan of 2 framed bays, now T-plan, with extension on south. 2
storeys. 2 chimneys with clay pots, projecting from outside walls. North front:
late C18 diamond leaded 2-light casement window first floor. Early C20, 2-light
leaded window on ground floor. Both windows are on the left with the timber frame
exposed on first floor with long tension braces; underbuilt in brick on ground
floor. On the right a projecting chimney with large, weathered, base. On the left of
the chimney, a small lean-to projection with small window. West front: brick gable
with timber frame exposed; diamond leaded casement windows, 3-light on first floor,
two smaller 2-light on ground floor. Interior: principal beams and joists with chamfers
and run-out stops. Redundant crown post roof trusses, with collar purlin and clasped
side purlins. Middle truss has arch-braced and chamfered collar with curved windbraces.
The mid C20 extensions of similar style, attached on the west and south, are of no
special interest.
