Cottage, now public house, and adjoining barn, now used for storage. Public house: Late
C16, altered and extended C20. Timber frame encased in part painted brick, part painted
roughcast. Old tile gabled roof. Rectangular plan of 2 framed bays; extensions on
south and east. 2 storeys. Tall chimney with clay pot on right. Road (North) front:
early C20 wooden casement windows, two 2-light on each floor with original moulded cills
and centre spur. One other 2-light window on ground floor at right end. Enclosed
entrance porch in centre with lean-to tile roof and C20 glazed entrance door. Small flat
roof extension on left adjoining barn. Interior: nine timber frame exposed on ground
floor, mostly exposed on first floor, with straight braces and posts. Small barn: late
C16. Timber frame, weatherboarded. Corrugated iron, gabled, roof. Rectangular plan of
2-framed bays. Entrance on north. Interior: frame exposed. Queen post roof trusses,
straight posts and curved windbraces.
