II

Cottage. Mid C16, altered and extended late C20. Part timber frame with brick infill, part
encased in brick. Old tile gabled roof. Rectangular plan formerly 2 cells of 3 framed bays; the
third bay on east contained former smoke bay which was demolished for C17 chimney insertion.
Extension on west and south. 2 storeys. 2 chimneys with clay pots. Entrance (north) front:
timber frame exposed. Symmetrical. 3 bays. C19 2-light casement windows with glazing bars. C20
gabled entrance porch, with C19 6-panel door; top 2 panels glazed. Interior: some timber frame
exposed with curved braces. Inglenook chimney. C20 gabled extension on right hand (west) is of no
special interest.
