GV II
Congregational chapel, now detached cottage. C18. Rubble stone,
hipped thatched roof, brick stack. Square plan. Single storey
and attic, 1 window; entrance to rear. C20 door in C20 porch,
C20 casement to left and right. Left return has limestone plaque
with inscription recording that Congregationalists first worshipped
in Ebbesbourne Wake at this cottage, between 1782 and 1791, eyebrow
dormer with C20 casement. Rear has two C20 casements and one
eyebrow dormer with steel casement.
Interior not inspected but said to have open fireplace with timber
lintel and chamfered beams.
