Coach-house. Mid C18. Probably for Sir Conyers D'Arcy. Ashlar sandstone,
Westmorland slate roofs. Of 1 and 2 storeys, 2:2:2 bays. Central range of
2 storeys, projects and has 6-pane first-floor windows. Each bay has a
round-arched opening with plinth and impost band, and with leaved board
doors below boarded infilling to tympanum each with 2-light window. Cornice
bands. Hipped roofs to outer ends and central range. Above central range,
pedimental clock tower with leaded cupola to bell turret. The plan of this
building, with a matching range to its south-west, is clearly shown on an
estate map of 1761.
