Enclosure to Quaker Meeting place, used as burial ground 1663 to 1847, walls
rebuilt 1847. Dry stone wall c.2 metres high surrounding simple rectangular
enclosure c.15 x 12 metres; gateway on north side from lane with lintel
inscribed "Friends Burial Ground 1663, the walls rebuilt 1847". (Walls
formerly had stone ledge for seating on inner side). References: Thomas
