House, 1679, altered, with barn probably C18th. Slobbered rubble with
slate roof. 2 storeys with attic. To the right of the door are paired
sashed windows with no glazing bars, with a plain stone surround and
central flat-faced mullion. To the right is a fire window with plain
reveals. To the left of the door is a 2-light window with stone surround
and flat-faced mullion. On the 1st floor are 2 similar windows. To their
right is a 3-light rebated and chamfered mullioned window. A drip course
rises over the doorway, which has an open gabled stone porch and a moulded
surround with shaped lintel inscribed: 'IRF 1679'. At the left is a
further bay which has sashed windows with plain reveals. Chimneys on
gables and to right of left-hand bay. The left-hand chimney has a
projecting stack. The left-hand gable has 2-light rebated and chamfered
mullioned windows to the 1st and attic floors. A rear wing has a round
chimney cap. Interior not accessible at time of survey, but said to have
oak staircase and 2 shell niches with fluted pilasters (Provisional List).
The barn at the right has a lower ridge. The wide entrance has a segmental
arch. At the left is a smaller door-way. The right-hand part of the front
wall is covered by a modern lean-to.
