Cottage, C14?, one storey with attics, timber framed, part rendered and part black
weatherboarding. Roof is thatched, hipped at E and gabled at W and over, later
1 ½ storey extension at rear. Lean-to extension on N side containing remnants of
earlier aisle. Windows are C20 metal casements with single, horizontal glazing bars.
Former open aisled hall-house with later, probably C17, inserted inglenook fireplace.
E wall framing shows open lap joints, wide spaced large studs, jowless posts and
'reversed assembly' at the eaves, and remnants of the soot blackened collared roof
remain, reused.
