Cottage. Dated 1718 with mid-C17 origins and C20 alterations. Slobbered rubble,
painted stone dressings, slate roof. 2 storeys, 4 bays. Entrance left of centre
has chamfered surround and decorated lintel dated and inscribed E
R M; C20 door;
hoodmould. 3 ground floor windows: two 4-light chamfered mullioned with 6 pane
casements; scrolled stops to hoodmoulds. On far right is similar but 2-light window.
4 upper floor chamfered mullioned window: left-hand 3 light, rest 2 light; 6 pane
casements and fixed lights. Left-hand gable end ridge and left of centre and right-
hand ridge stacks. Rear reputedly includes entrance with basket arched lintel
inscribed T P 1642 (Thomas Paley), a C17 2-light chamfered mullioned window and
a late C17 cross window. Interior not accessible.
