3/11 Airton Bridge
GV II
Road bridge, probably early C19. Dressed stone. The carriageway rises toward
the Airton Side where there is a solid abutment, but on the Calton side a pier
with cutwaters and pilaster strips takes the weight of the low segmental arch
and a smaller round arch, similarly supported by a further pilastered abutment.
Solid parapets.
