House. Dated 1653 with mid - late C18 alterations. Gritstone rubble,
graduated stone slate roof. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Quoins to left. West
front: C20 door in plain surround between bays 2 and 3. Flat-faced mullion
windows of 3 lights to bays 1 (ground floor), 3 (ground and first floor)
and 4 (first floor); a C19 2-light sash window to bay 4 ground floor and a
blocked doorway or recessed chamfered window to ground floor between bays 1
and 2. Large ridge stack above entrance. Rear: added single-storey
outshut with C19 - C20 inserted windows. Interior: the large fireplace
opposite the entrance preserves the C17 lobby-entry plan; the reset
datestone with 2 recessed panels and raised lettering "H L 1653" is above
the doorway into the rear outshut. In process of restoration at resurvey.
