House, formerly public house. Early C18, converted to private
house C20. Roughcast timber frame on tarred brick plinth.
Pantiled roof. 2 storeys. 3-window range. 4-panelled door left
of centre, the upper 2 panels glazed. Plain timber doorcase.
One 3-light C19 casement right and left. Proceeding right
there follows a fixed window replacing second public house
doorway in C20, finally one 3-light C19 casement. First floor
lit through three 2-light early C20 casements. Gabled roof
with external stack to east gable, with lean-to oven
extensions either side. C19 rear outshuts.
INTERIOR: wainscoted dado in passageway from door. Various C20
partitions. Timber frame with jowled principal posts and
chamfered bridging beams with tongue stops. West ground-floor
room re-uses a mid C16 wave-moulded bridging beam.
