Walls around front garden with entrance gate piers; retaining walls
to paved terrace in front of house. Probably late C18. Coursed
tooled squared stone, ashlar, wrought iron. Walls with flat copings
round front and sides of garden, the coursing of the side walls
following the slope of the ground. Near the house at either side
a pair of rusticated piers, with low pyramidal caps, support ornamental
gates and lamp standards (lamps missing). Within the garden similar
wall, with short flight of steps, supports terrace.
