Part of row of cottages. c1760, altered. In the style of James Paine, for
the Earl of Scarbrough. Ashlar magnesian limestone, Welsh slate roof. 2-
storey, 3-bay centre to row of cottages much altered and extended in C19 and
not of special interest. Central block: plinth, rusticated quoins.
Rusticated round arch with keystone now infilled and with casement; flanking
casements on each floor, those to 2nd floor flank a central glazed oculus
with keyed architrave. Cornice to hipped roof flanked by corniced end
stacks. Similar to gamekeeper's house known as The Limes (q.v.) and thought
to be by James Paine.
