5/13 Roadside barn 40m west
of Hoofield Hall.

GV II

Barn: c1870 for John Tollemache. English garden wall bond orange
brick. Welsh slate roof. Long rectangular plan. 2-storey, 7-bay
front. Centre is under gable with painted decorative timber framing.
This is above 2 circular pitch-holes with stone sills and in the ground
storey , 2 3-light casements with diamond pane glazing. To right the
wall is blank except for ventilation patterns. To left is a driftway
and 2 doorways with circular pitch-hole above. Right gable has a hoist
under a projecting hood. To rear is cartshed and further casements
with glazing bars.

Range running towards the house is of no special interest.
