House, for some time used as the village post office. Circa 1770 (James Perfect
George 1777 inscribed on one of the window panes). Killas rubble to ground floor,rendered cob above. Steep asbestos slate roof (formerly thatched with brick chimneys over the gable ends. Cast-iron ogee-section gutters.
Plan: 2-room-plan house with entrance lobby between the rooms and a stair outshut behind the right-hand room. Left-hand room (parlour) originally had a shallow pantry partitioned off at the rear. Later single-storey extension (formerly post office) at right angles in front of the right-hand side. C20 extensions at far right.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Original house has nearly symmetrical 3-window front with
doorway slightly right of middle. C19 4-panel door. Original C18 12-pane 2-light casements with centre-hung opening lights. Old glass including some bulls-eye panes. One C20 replaced light to window over doorway.
Interior: Largely unaltered interior: Large fireplace with cloam oven in right-hand room; moulded ceiling beams and original roof structure with close-spaced hardwood pegged trusses.
