House, now golf clubhouse. Circa 1830, incorporating earlier building.
Sandstone ashlar; Lakeland slate roof. Rear rendered; rear wing has
graduated slate roof. L-plan. 2 storeys and attics; 14 bays, the central
6 projecting. Giant Tuscan pilasters define end bays and each of central
4 bays. Sash windows with glazing bars in plain reveals; first floor sill
band and first floor level band. Top entablature has prominent cornice below
parapet. Low-pitched roof has central inserted attic with 2 square-headed
windows; rendered rear chimneys. Tuscan porch to half-glazed door at rear.
