Cottage. Early-mid C17. Timber-framed, plaster rendered and reed thatched
roof and large red brick ridge stack with rebuilt upper courses. Hall and
crosswing plan, with the crosswing fronting the road and the hall range with
the central hearth at the rear. Crosswing of one bay and one storey and
attic. One dormer and one casement. Entry in small C20 addition to front.
Inside: exposed framing, with straIght bracing to wall framing and both rear
range and single bay parlour at front with floor frames having joists laid on
edge and stop-chamfered main beams. Red brick, early C17, to abutting
inglenook hearths.
