2 barns and stable in one range. N barn of 2 builds: E half Cl7
altered in C19; W half C16. NE barn C18. Stable C18. Timber-
framed on tarred brick sill, dark weatherboarded with steep
corrugated iron roofs to barns, red pantiles to stable. A range
of picturesque single-storey farm buildings facing S, backing
onto the lane next the ford. E half of N barn has jowled posts
in 3 bays with straight braces and straight tension braces in
walls. Grooves for wattle and daub infill. Roof rebuiltas
clasped purlin structure in C19. W half of N barn higher and
deeper 3-bay structure with heavy jowled posts, heavy curved'
braces to tie-beam, clasped purlin roof with wind braces, curved
tension braces, and edge-halved scarf joint with bridled butts in
wallplate. Double doors formerly in mid bay moved to E bay when
E part added. Stable has clasped-purlin roof and curved braces.
3-bay C18 NE barn faces W with projecting gabled porch to middle
bay, with a dove loft in the gable apex. Unjowled posts and
studs rising to wallplate without a mid-height rail. Clasped-
purlin roof with collars and angle braces to each truss. Short
knee-braces to tie-beams. Strainer between purlins at mid-span.
