House. Early C18, heightened in later C18, cased in brick and
parallel rear range added in C19. Timber frame on stucco sill,
cased in white painted brickwork. Painted brick rear wing.
Plaster flanking chimney on N gable. Steep pink slate roofs, old
range half-hipped at S. A long, one and a half storeys central
chimney plan house facing W. 2-storeys rear range. Large gable
chimney at N end formerly external. Front has 4 lean-to roofed
dormer windows at the eaves, each with 2-light casements. 3 wide
3-light segmental arched recessed casement windows with gabled
porch for door into cross-passage passing behind the chimney a
third from N end. 4-bay structure with posts, wallplates and
tie-beams of original single-storey house exposed inside.
Chamfered axial floor beam cut for present stair in cross
passage.
