Barn with extension now used as pigsty. C17 with C19 extension and C19-C20
alterations. Front wall retains some heavy timber studding with narrow brick
infill; remainder rebuilt in brick. High plinth of granite rubble at each gable
end of original barn. C20 corrugated iron roof. Original barn is of 3 bays,
with C19 brick bay to left. Irregular C20 doors, double doors and windows.
Interior: main posts have heavy jowls and traces to tie beams; heavy queen strut
trusses; single purlin roof with rough wind-braces. Main framing is double
pegged. C19 bay to left is lofted and has braced collar truss. C20 outbuilding
with slate roof attached to far left is not of special interest, nor are the
C20 covered cattle yard adjacent to rear or the farmhouse attached to right.
