II*
Pedestal tomb. C18. Limestone. Rich cavetto moulded top, cavetto base on plinth and
stylobate, formerly railed; reserved corners with fluted pilasters flanking sunk
panel with beaded top moulding bearing circular panel with raised centre east and
west, incription panels with moulded and lugged surrounds over scalloped base
moulding, north and south. Italic inscription, name not decipherable, and one date,
1672, seems too early for the memorial's design. Upright, in good condition at time
of survey, a fine example of memorial art.
