28.6.60 Cottage adjacent Goring House)

House on end of row. Early C17. Random rubble limestone; stone
slate and concrete plain tile roof. Two-storey with attic. C20
flat-roofed addition to rear is not of special interest. Front:
central 3-light cavetto mullioned casement to each floor; small
single-light to right on ground floor, both having hoodmoulds to
ground floor. Doorway with round arched porch hood on posts.
Railings to north and west boundaries with spear tops and finials.
West end: gable end with single-window fenestration, C20 to ground
floor, 3-light to upper and 2-light to attic, both recessed cavetto
mullioned with hoodmoulds. Gabled C20 roof dormer to rear roof
slope. Interior not inspected. Forms part of group with Goring
House (q.v.).
