II
Large detached house. Dated 1840 for T.P. Dunn. Ashlar and
coursed rubble limestone; ashlar chimneys; Welsh slate roof.
Two-storey with cellar at east end; parallel 2-storey rear range
to west; attached coach house block at north east corner. Front:
3 blocks, central projecting forward, each with separate hipped
roof. Central block has large ground floor tripartite sash with
24-pane central sash; three 16-pane upper floor sashes; single
cellar sash to right. Two-window fenestration to outer blocks,
tall 18-pane to ground floor - giving access to iron balcony to
right block; 12-pane to upper floor except one 16-pane sash.
Eaves-mounted chimneys to east side of each block. West side:
gabled rear range recessed to left with glazed porch in angle.
East end: outshut projecting to right has ground floor 2-light
Tudor headed casement with hoodmould. Coach house runs further
right with mixed casement fenestration. Interior not inspected.
A window pane is recorded carrying the inscription 'this house
built 1840 by T.P. Dunn'.
