4 cottages, Nos 1 and 7 back-to-back, and attached barn, Nos 3 and 5 now one, Nos
1 and 7 and barn to be made into one (5.6.85). Late C18. Coursed dressed stone,
stone slate roof. 2 storeys, cottages 1 bay each, barn 2 bays. South front:
quoins. 3 cottages, each with plain stone surround doorway (No 5's now blocked
and with c1984 oculus) and flat-faced mullion windows, of 4 lights to each floor
of Nos 3 and 5, of 3 lights to each floor of No 7. Barn on right has blocked cart-
entry on right with quoins, imposts, voussoirs and raised keystone; mistal door
with tie-stones on left; 2-light window over cart-entry (mullion removed). Corniced
stacks to left end, junction of Nos 5 and 7, and renewed brick stack at junction
of No 7 and barn. Rear: barn has opposing cart-entry. No 1 has plain stone
surround doorway and 3-, now 2-light window on left of each floor. No 3's ground-
floor window now door, No 5's with mullions removed; on first floor a 4-, 1- and
3-light window. Right return (barn): chamfered slit vents. Left return (No 3):
2-light first-floor window.
