House. Dated 1589 but much remodelled early C20. Finely dressed stone, stone
slate roof. Hall and cross-wing to left hand end. L plan, 3 gabled front of 3
cells. Doorway in right hand cell has composite jambs and lintel inscribed
'IW 1589' enclosed within a shield. All are double chamfered mullioned windows
without hoodmoulds. To right of doorway is 5-light window with same over.
Central wall has 8-light with 4-light over and parapet linking the 2 gables with
rainwater chute surmounted by carved head. Wing to left breaks forward and has
5-light window with 4-light over. All gables are coped with crocketed finials.
Left hand return wall, 2 extruded stacks with many offsets and gable between
with two 2-light windows to each floor. 2 other stacks. Rear much remodelled,
but front retaining original late C16 exterior.
