House. Part late C15 timber framed open hall to interior encased in stone with
rear aisle added in late C17. Hammer-dressed stone, stone slate roof. 2
storeys. 3 room plan. All windows altered. Central housebody has fire window
and spine beam with scarf joint, evidence of former bressumer and firehood. 3
stacks to ridge. Left hand return wall has 2-light chamfered mullioned window
at 1st floor level. Interior has 2 surviving posts braced to the arcade plate
and to king post truss; one earlier truss has cambered tie beam and mortice for
post at front (evidence of earlier timber framed open hall house). Arcade plate
has mortices for close studded wall.
