Detached cottage. Mid C18. Stretcher bond brick. Thatched roof,
gable-end brick stacks. 2-storey, 2-window. Central planked door
in tiled porch, 2-light casement either side with shutters. First
floor has two 2-light casements and light timber-framing. To left
is glazed C20 extension, C20 casement to ground floor with light
timber-framing to first floor. Rear outshut with casements.
Interior formerly had one heated room; open fireplace with
chamfered lintel, chamfered beam with step and runout stops,
exposed joists. Second stack added early C19. Good example of
unaltered C18 cottage. (Unpublished records of RCHM (England),
