II
Detached house. C17, front added late C18. Timber-framed rear
range, header and English bond brick front, tiled half-hipped roof,
gable-end brick stacks. 2-storey, 3-window C18 front. Central
door with 6 fielded panels, composite pilasters, flat wooden hood
on brackets and fanlight; either side is Venetian window with 12-
pane sash and rubbed brick arch. First floor has three 4-pane
sashes with flat arches, plain plaster pediment over eaves. Right
return has French windows, large external stack with tiled offsets,
three casements to first floor, two to second floor. Left return
has large external stack to front range, rear range has exposed
square-panelled timber-framing with ornamental cast-iron casements
to ground floor, leaded casements to first and second floors. Rear
has projecting wing to left with leaded Venetian window and half-
glazed door, hipped roof, main range has French windows and 2-light
casements, first floor is tile-hung over timber-framing.
Interior has chamfered beams with ogee stops and open fireplace
with chamfered lintel to C17 rear. Front range has newel stairs
with stick balusters, doors with 6 fielded panels, classical
fireplace with dentilled cornice, fluted ceiling cornice.
