Terrace of 4 houses. c. 1856. For James and George Wilson.
Brick with hipped slate roof. 2 storeys, 6 bays, end bays
break forward. Windows have gauged-brick cambered arches
and are sashed with glazing bars, end bays have rectangular
bay windows with hipped roofs and small-paned casements.
Entrances have gauged-brick cambered arches, over lights
with glazing bars and C20 doors. 3 cross-axial stacks.
Returns have C20 flat-roofed projections. Rear lean-to
wings. Part of a planned village for Price's Patent Candle
Company, one of the earliest examples of a model industrial
village.
