Dwelling, formerly Malt Shovel Inn. Early C19. Squared end coursed sand-
stone with flush quoins in limestone, Welsh slate roof. Parallel ranges,
gable stack, right, and near left gable, opposite second door: possibly this
was gable in original build. Two storeys, one plus 3-windowed, sashes with-
out bars in first bay, then five cross mullion and transome, with some lead-
ing in upper lights, centred on 6-panel door under segmental hood; also 4-
panel door under transome light, left. Back is lower, two storeys, 4-
windowed, original 2-light casements. This section low pitched, with
asbestos-cement slates. Neglected at time of survey; an interesting survival
of industry in the area, grouped with the adjacent former mill (qv).
