Formerly inn, now dwelling. C15 originally. Rendered front,
largely hiding timber-framing: coursed-rubble rear wing, rendered
brick chimneys, slate roof. 'L'-plan; 3-bay front; 2-storey,
upper floor jettied. Right-hand bay carriageway opening in ground
floor, open to roof: wall above rebuilt: 2 bays to left defined
by exposed main posts, with integrally-carved column on face, and
plain, pegged bracket above: whole on a rendered plinth. One
window per bay on each floor; windows renewed and dummy framing
applied to render 1984. Original framing visible to ground floor
on left-side of carriageway.
