Town house with later shop. C17; front remodelled mid C19.
Stucco on timber frame jettied to upper floors; slatehanging
to visible left-hand return; rag-slate roof; original rubble
stack on left with ramped entablature later heightened with
brick. Double-depth plan. 3 storeys; 2-window range. Mid C19
sixteen-pane hornless sashes to 2nd floor over paired 4-pane
hornless sashes within recessed segmentally-arched panels.
Ground floor has late C19 double shop front with slender
clustered columns, return lights at end; splayed central
doorway and C20 fascia (obscuring original fascia) under jetty
with acanthus cornice and scrolled brackets. Pair of keyed
round-arched doorways on right (including entrance to No.7)
with blind fanlights over moulded cornices and 6-panel doors
with top panels later glazed. INTERIOR not inspected but
likely to be of interest.
