Public house. Early to mid C17 to rear, late C18 or early C19 front
range, altered C19 and C20. Timber frame to rear, brick to front, all
roughcast. Tiled roof to rear. Hipped slate roof to front. L shaped on
plan. All 2 storeys. Rear range to right is 3 bays. Central entrance
built into what was an extruded stack cut at eaves. 2 and 3 light C20
flush casements. Right gable end has exposed frame with brick infill,
jowled post to S curved tie beam, struts to collar, external stack with
offset, cap rebuilt. Catslide roof over continuous lean-to outshut to
original rear. Front range to left at right angles is 3 windows with
entrance bay to right of centre. Ground floor flanking canted bays.
First floor recessed C20 casements. Boxed eaves. Right end extruded
stack. 1 storey lean-to outshut on left end. Interior: ground floor stop
chamfered bearers reset, exposed wattle and daub panels, first floor not
inspected.
