Water mill. Early C19 with mid C20,conversion. Coursed squared gritstone, grey
slate roof with eaves course of stone slates. 3 storeys, 4 bays, quoins.
C20 glazed door bay 2; 9-pane casement windows throughout below plain
lintels, that to bay 3 first floor blocked. Stone butter brackets; shaped
kneelers and gable copings; banded stack left, base of large chimney stack
right. The mill was constructed over the Cockhill beck but the wheel was
removed when the building was converted to steam power.
