Former Red Lion Inn, now a house. C17 or earlier; NV wing, W front
altered, and SE extension mid/late C19. Timber frame, exposed with
plastered panels only at rear, roughcast, painted brick rear outshut,
old red tile roofs. A 2-storeys, 2 windows wide house facing W with a
single-storey half-hipped extension set back on RH side with entrance
under hipped porch in the angle. Flush box sash windows to front with
3/3 panes. View from S shows that the original part is a 1 1/2-storeys
range at right angles to road with half-hipped steep roof and small
gabled dormer on S roofslope with 2-lights casement. Internal S sidewall
chimney in W bay. S gable, refaced when 2-storeys short gabled C19 N
extension added with N external gable chimney.
