House, now a public house. C17, early C18 brick front, C18 lower E
extension. Timber frame roughcast with red brick and blue brick front,
lighter red brick E extension, steep old red tile roofs carried down at
rear over outshuts. A 2-storeys, 2-cells, internal chimney, lobby entry
plan house, set back from road, facing S, with a lower 2 storeys wing
set back a little, on E end. Older part has 2 storeys to each floor and
central entrance. Recessed 2-lights casement windows. Plat-band, low
plinth, and segmental arches to ground floor windows. E extension has
irregular arrangement of 2 windows to each floor with 2- and 3-lights
casement windows and door near middle. Side-purlin roof structure to
house, axial beams, and open fireplaces.
