Handed almshouse pair. Circa 1929 by Maurice Webb. Red brick with plain tiled
roof; end ridge stacks with rubbed brick coping to gable ends . 1 storey with
parapet breaking through the eaves of the outer bays. 3 bays, one 3-light sash
in outer bays. Central pier with projecting pilaster, arched recess bays,
approached up a flight of two steps. 3 bay trabeated colonnade with square brick
piers and wooden lintels, dado walls to outer bays connecting Nos. 15 and 16 with
Nos.ll to 14 to north west. Chestnut Crescent was added to the original octagonal
plan of Whiteley Village with the buildings designed in similar style.
