2/60 Barn and sheds to west of
Langbaurgh Farm

Threshing barn and sheds, mid and later C18. Coursed squared stone barn with
brick gable ends. Small south extension mixed stone and brick with courses
of mortared boulders. Pantiled roofs with stone trim. Barn facing south has
flat-roofed west addition and small pent south extension; 2 parallel north wings
form overall L-plan. 3-bay barn has opposed central wagon doors; the southern
has deep segmental arch with raised voussoirs, key and impost blocks. Loading
doors above. Pattern of vents formed from spaces between stone blocks. Stone
copings and square kneelers to roof. Door inserted and blocked in east end.
1-storey north ranges show boarded doors, 2 small windows (one a Yorkshire sash)
on road front and small louvred roof vents. These buildings were used as a
tannery in the C19-early C20.
