House, late C17 or early C18. Roughly-coursed sandstone rubble with red brick
dressings; renewed pantiled roof, brick stack. 2 storeys, 2 bays, irregular.
Boarded door in front wall of No 27, beyond the chimney, suggesting a hearth-
passage entry plan, the other part of which is now a separate dwelling. Ground
floor has fire window, with fixed light, at right. Left 3-light C20 1-bar case-
ment, under gauged brick arch, and similar window above. Brick quoins and
stepped-and-cogged eaves cornice. High-pitched roof with rebuilt right end
chimney.
