Terraced houses. No 34 late C18; nos 35-36 of 1774 and
developed by Richard Masefield. Brown brick set in Flemish
bond, stucco, roof of clay tiles to no 34, Welsh slate to nos
35-6. Four storeys over basement, no 34 two-window range, nos
35 and 36 three windows each. No 34 has panelled wooden
doorcase with palmettes in the frieze and cornice on consoles,
panelled door of original design; no 35 has panelled wooden
doorcase, flanking columns with reeded capitals, palmettes in
the frieze, cornice hood, overlight with decorative glazing
and panelled door of original design. No 36 has pilasters,
frieze with reeding and patera, and cornice. All windows
flat-arched, with gauged brick heads except the ground-floor
window to no 34 where the head is plastered over and the
ground and first-floor windows to no 35 which have stucco
architraves to the ground floor with cornice on consoles, and
to the first floor with pediments on consoles. 6/6 sashes of
original design to no 34 (first floor), no 35 (ground and
first floors), and no 36. Original lead rainwater head to no
36. Parapet. Dormers to each house in mansard roof. Stacks on
party walls. Cast-iron railings to area.
